Welcome to pitta season—those long, sun-soaked days that bring the heat (and depending on where you live, a good dose of humidity, too). It’s the perfect recipe to throw your pitta dosha out of balance—hello, irritability, burnout and overheated everything.
To stay cool and calm during the hottest stretch of the year, small shifts can make a big difference. Think: cucumber and mint in your water; watermelon and avocado on your plate; and a soothing coconut oil massage to nourish your skin. 🍉🌿🥥
I’ve always loved the ambition and energy of summer—but I’ve also learned over and over again how easy it is to overdo it. For many years, I took too many power walks at noon and stayed up way past 10 p.m. (Pitta thrives on an early bedtime!) The truth? Push too much during pitta season, and your body will push back even more.
That’s why I created this simple Pitta-Balancing Checklist. These nourishing shifts help me stay cool, calm and in rhythm with the season. If slowing down doesn’t come easy, this list will speak to your soul. 💗
This Is the One Ingredient Your Summer Routine Is Missing
Ghee or clarified butter—aka liquid gold—has been a staple in Ayurveda for thousands of years. It supports everything from mental clarity to digestive ease, and in summer, it offers exactly what pitta needs for balance.
Its oily, sweet nature calms and cools your system—especially when the heat starts to fray your nerves or dry you out. Burnout prone? Ghee might just be your new best friend.
